A Journey of A Thousand Miles 2012
This year has already kicked off with some amazing opportunities and exciting events and plans for me, I can't wait to see where the rest of the year will lead.
One of my first exciting jobs of the year must have been in March with Teele Killing and her team shooting Arnob Basit and Gracie Wright's new video 'White Horses'.It is such a beautiful, yet dark song, you can now view it on my Video page.
In April I started working along side Transformer Hair and Beauty, Norwich. I did makeup for one of their clients for a photoshoot working alongside one of their hair stylist; Rebecca and their photographer Tait Pollack. I then had the opportunity to again work with Transformer, and another one of their very talented stylists Melissa. We worked with one of NUCA's bubbly photography students; Timothy Jenkinson, on one of his assignments.
May has already got off to a great start working with a new photographer Ellie Mitchel and model Rebecca on a photoshoot in and around central Norwich. A photoshoot at NUCA with photographer Emily Jane Morgan, the style being supernatural and demonic, looking beautifully human, but there would be something not quite right about the models. The clothing used was by Kee Boutique from leeds. The Models I worked with was Poppy, Jordan and Jessica. I worked with PPP Studios again, the photo shoot was retro fashion inspired, for actress Isobel Hamilton.
In June I worked with Teele Killing and her team shooting Arnob Basit and Natasha Pyne's new music video 'What You Want'. I worked along side Laura Hughes who is an incredibly talented hair stylist. Also in the video was Bill Downs, William Phillips, Brandon Mackie, and dancers ranging from the age of 7 upwards. Emily West was also there doing photography, I will post images soon. This is my favourite video to date.
This was a very excited year, a year that would bring more determination and drive than ever before.
I had my interview with Fresh Fashion Faces in January. Also in January I worked with JMS Group promoting their facilities for a short corporate film.
In February and March I worked with PPP Studio's Fiona Mawby, Stefania Sylvestri and Fun and Frolic's Sara Henley, on boudoir and fantasy photoshoots.
In May and June I worked with photographer Emma Salahi on a Tim Burton inspired photoshoot. I also worked with Katie Atkins photography promoting Cup Cakes By Jess and Demi Drummond doing a fashion photoshoot.
In April and June I started to work on the production of Joe Guy's Music video in association with Teele Killing Media and Ryan Cecil's music production company. The music video can be viewed on my Video page or Youtube. I also worked with Loveclothing.com and two of their photographers Byron Rawlings and Charlotte Rutherford to promote the festival season clothing ranges.
In September I had the pleasure to work on Cielo's music video at Purple Studio's. The music video is called 'Be Too Careful', and can be viewed on my video page, or on my youtube page. In association with Teele Killing Media. You can follow her on Twitter, Youtube and Facebook. I also worked with Paul Cook and his crew on an advert for a competition for Reed.co.uk. The theme was 'Happy Mondays', It is such a clever take on the usual not wanting to go to work on a monday morning, we didn't win, however the finished article looked amazing. Go Team!!
In October I had the pleasure to work as the main makeup artist on 'Peppermint', which is a short film made my Stephan Drury. The rest of our crew included DoP Teele Killing who I have worked with a few times now as well as David Royse and Paul Cook. It was lovely to work with some very talented actors /actresses too, such as the very talented Mark Jackson who played the lead character Sebastian, also Alex Aires who played Sally, Sebastians work collegue. Unfortunately I didn't get to work with the other main character Jacob James Beswick, but they all excelled their roles. It was an incredible and fun experience, and I helped with set change and sound aswel as being an extra within the film. I can't wait to see the finished article. I can only imagine 'Peppermint' is going to be an incredible short film, that will for sure go to Film Festivals and competitions everywhere..
In November I worked with the very creative Holly Moss again. Her photoshoot had the theme 'Elegance'. Her model Sophie Morris, was absolutely stunning, and Holly's amazing head dresses made the images. The setting was a Wensum Park, Norwich, we were very fortunate to have a very beautiful day. Pictures to follow soon. You can view more of Hollys work by going to my link page.
